Nieuwe Padi Instructeurs van Maart, Mei, September & November 2011: gefeliciteerd !!

Palm Beach Divers biedt de meest professionele PADI Dive Master Cursus aan.

Begin goed met je scuba duik carrière door je eerste stap – jouw Padi Dive master Cursus. Je kunt al starten met de PADI Dive Master training als je 20 gelogde duiken hebt en eerder jouw PADI Advanced Duiker en Padi Reddings Duiker cursussen succesvol hebt afgesloten. Samen met jouw PADI scuba duik instructeur, verdiep je jouw duik kennis en breng je jouw duik vaardigheden tot het professionele niveau. Het meest interessante onderdeel van de Padi Pro cursus is natuurlijk om te leren hoe je ervaren duikers kunt leiden onder water en hoe je kunt assisteren bij duik training.

Padi Divemasters mogen (na certificatie) toezicht houden en assisteren bij zowel training als bij niet-trainings duik activiteiten. Padi duik scholen en resorts overal ter wereld werken met PADI Dive masters, die assisteren bij duik training en onderwater trips gidsen. PADI Dive Masters mogen ook PADI Discover Local Duik ervaringen onder water leiden en Padi Scuba Review (opfris) programma’s voor gecertificeerde duikers afnemen. Verder mogen zij ook les geven in PADI Discover Snorkelen en de PADI Skin Duiker cursus. Als je als Padi Divemaster een cursus hiertoe volgt bij een Padi Course Director, dan mag je ook nog Padi Digitale Onderwater Fotografie Specialiteiten en Emergency First Response cursussen onderwijzen.

Je bent er al bijna. Nu nog jouw PADI Duik Instructeurs Development Cursus (IDC). De IDC cursus bestaat uit 2 onderdelen, de Padi Assistent Instructeurs (AI) cursus en de Padi Open Water Scuba Instructeurs (OWSI) training. Deze onderverdeling staat je toe om de cursus in 2 blokken te volgen, zodat je tijd prettiger kunt indelen.

Wellicht is het handiger om beide onderdelen samen te volgen, zodat je de gehele IDC cursus kunt afsluiten in 7 dagen of langer (en beter voorbereid bent).

Het eerste onderdeel van de PADI Duik Instructeurs Development Cursus (IDC) is de PADI Assistent Instructeurs cursus. Deze cursus geeft je meer ervaring als PADI Duik Professional en leert je het PADI Systeem van duik onderwijs kennen.

Normaal gesproken vinden Padi Duik Instructeurs gemakkelijk werk, Padi Dive Masters kunnen het wat lastiger hebben om werk te vinden, aangezien er meer Padi Divemasters zijn en zij minder veelzijdig zijn, dan Padi Duik Instructeurs. Als je een serieuze carrière in duiken tegemoet gaat, wil je jezelf flexibel en multifunctioneel maken, dit is eenvoudiger als je een Padi Duik Instructeur bent en als je goede Padi Specialiteiten Duik Instructeurs Certificeringen hebt. Je kunt sommige van deze specialiteiten ook halen, als je Padi Divemaster bent: zoals Padi Equipment Specialiteit, Padi Digitale Fotografie Instructeur of Padi Emergency Oxygen Provider Instructeur.

De eerste twee dagen van jouw Padi IDC (Instrukteurs Development) Cursus, kun je nu al thuis in jouw eigen land doen, wanneer je tijd hebt (elke dag een beetje, na je werk bijvoorbeeld). Dit is erg goede voorbereiding voor jouw Padi IDC Cursus en het zorgt ervoor dat je tijdens de eigenlijke Padi IDC Cursus meer tijd hebt om in het water te oefenen met praktische vaardigheden. Het laatste nieuws van Lanta Palm Beach Divers mbt de Anti-haaienvinnen soep campagne samen met Project AWARE

250 AWARE Duikers en AU$2500 aan geld opgehaald voor Project Aware’s protest tegen haaienvinnen soep.

September 2010 – Palm Beach Divers, Koh Lanta, Thailand geeft op regelmatige basis donaties om de onder water wereld te beschutten en te helpen, tot nu toe hebben ze meer als 2.500 Australische Dollars hiertoe opgehaald. Sinds Januari 2009 inspireerde het Palm Beach Divers team 250 individuele duikers om een donatie te geven voor de onderwater wereld.

Ingelise K. Bier, PADI Course Director bij Lanta Palm Beach Divers zegt: “We organiseren Project AWARE clean ups gedurende het hele jaar, hebben een mooring programma en trainen onze duikers voor de Padi Shark AWAREness Distinct Specialiteiten Programma. Door andere duikers te inspireren om een donatie te geven en informatie te geven over non profit organisaties, die de onder water wereld helpen, geven wij terug aan de natuur, wat zij aan ons geeft.”

Wij zijn de enige Padi 5 sterren (IDC) duik school die hun duik boot hebben liggen aan het mooiste strand van Lanta, Pra Ae (of wel Long Beach) en die je rechtstreeks vanaf dit strand naar Koh Ha en Koh Phi Phi brengen.

Ons zwembad is de zee, direct voor het duik resort. In ons groene seizoen gebruiken we een zwembad in een van onze resorts. Dus je hoeft niet elders heen te gaan, we hebben alles hier: het tropische eiland, strand, zee, beeldschoon duiken en mooie resorts !

Door kleine groepen, beeldschone, langzame duiken met ervaren Padi gidsen, hoge kwaliteit duik cursussen (waar je ook iets leert), plezier & gezelligheid, spannende zaken, professionele staf en duiken op een veilige en natuurvriendelijke wijze, proberen wij uw duik vakantie meer waarde te geven. Het was super relaxed, zeer goed georganiseerd en verzorgd. Je hoeft zelf niets te doen. Op de boot krijg je lekker eten en zoveel te drinken als je wilt. Je doet je spullen aan en met een paar stappen lig je in het water en ben je in een andere wereld. De divemasters zijn erg attent en letten goed op. De service is een 10. Onder water is het hier erg prachtig er is zoveel te zien, je hebt ogen te kort. De meeste vissen die op de plastic kaarten staan, zie je hier ook. Kortom: een 10 voor Palm Beach Divers. We waren hier vorig jaar November ook al, aan het begin van onze trip en nu weer aan het einde van onze trip. De dagen op de boot en in het water waren heerlijk. Dear Palm Beach Divers, we would like to thank for 10 days of fun & pleasure ! We joined you for 210 hours under water, we have had 336000 liters of air, 168000 liters of Nitrox and unknown amount of beers at night in San Sunset Bar or at the dive center. We enjoyed the boat trip and introduced Thor into "ice-cube-diving"...We especially want to point out the flexibility of Lisa's dive planning and the deciscion to have 2 dives at dive sites with mantarays !! We had a fantastic and surprising time under water and above- I wasn't even certain I was diving when we arrived for a vacation and I ended up doing the full Padi Open Water Course with Pan as my Padi instructor. My most memorable moments were seeing the crazy colours of the octopus and sea turtles and having Pan spot things when I was sure nothing was there-especially the cuttlefish ! Also he pushed me off the boat, to do my swimming test to shore and gave me his shirt, so that the "aggressive plankton" did not eat me on the way. My "diving story" began 5 years ago when we arrived on Koh Lanta intending to stay for 4 days, but ending up staying for 5 weeks ! Steve was one of the first customers and, from the first meeting with "fello Essex man" Lee on the beach, to meeting Lisa & Lars and their other staff, we were made to feel like friends and very welcome. Steve completed his Padi Open Water and Advanced Open Water Courses, while I, with my enormous fear of Open Water couldn't even go onto the boat ! We returned in April 2009 to a lovely warm welcome, some familiar faces along with some new friends to make ! Steve quickly embarked on dives and this time I was "brave enough" to try snorkelling. Heidi was very reassuring during all 6 snorkelling trips and make me wonder why I had left it so long before looking into this amazing underwater world ! Back at Christmas 2009, with Zoe and Tom, who took to diving as quickly as their dad. I remained snorkelling. Finally in February of this year (2010) I made the decision that I wanted to learn to dive - and there was only one place that could teach me- Palm Beach Divers ! So we returned in April, Steve ready as ever to get back into the water and myself - very nervous ! I need not have been: everybody was so encouraging from my first day in the classroom, to my first step into open water. Remco has to be one of the most patient and encouraging teachers I have met. We went up to the Similan Islands in the end, managed to find a 2 day liveaboard going from Koh Lak. The diving was fantastic but nothing quite beat swimming with the mantas! That was magical!
